All Model Shapes & Sizes To Be Celebrated

At Models Direct ‘size’ is not an issue, it’s all about talent, striking features, attitude and determination – that’s what our agents are looking for.

With the modelling industry evolving it’s refreshing to see that plus size models are featuring on the covers of International magazines and some well known brands have become more diverse in the size and shape of the models they use for their campaigns, but is it enough?

Are all women’s shapes and sizes being celebrated and represented within the fashion and modelling industry?

London Fashion Week ’19 has just come to a close, with the fashion industry and it’s avid followers being treated to incredible new collections and shows from some of the most prestigious designers, but was there enough diversity in the size and shape of the models used to display these incredible garments?

Highlighting the importance of celebrating women of all sizes and to encorouge designers to use larger models is incredibly important and to do this we have seen protests taking place at London Fashion Week by body positive activists and influencers.

Fashion is available to everybody and therefore argued a more diverse range of shapes, sizes and disabilities should be represented on the catwalk and within the fashion industry itself.

Models Direct is a commercial modelling and talent agency, therefore we have a more varied demand from our clients for the types of models and talent we represent and have done since the agency was created, this is why ‘size’ is not a consideration for us.
