Smile, say cheese, give me that gorgeous grin!
We all spend a lot of time making our babies smile and laugh – and it’s no wonder that we do because their little faces simply explode with pleasure when we are successful!
Seeing babies happy gives everyone a lot of pleasure, whether they are the person making the baby laugh, the photographer taking the picture or the viewer who happens upon the final lovely image.
As human beings, we are supposed to go all soppy when we see a baby – it makes us want to love, nurture and look after them.

And for consumers, the psychology is not dissimilar – there is something about a gorgeous, grinning baby that catches our eye and holds our attention.
It is a simple idea and, to be honest, baby modelling itself is a very simple process.
Of course, it can be stressful for Mum and Dad if little Lucy is having a bad day or cute Callum is a bit cross and out of sorts during the booking.
But, by and large, baby modelling is kept simple and streamlined to get the best out of your little one and to ensure they stay their happy little selves throughout the assignment.

Firstly, you need to join a reputable agency, an organisation like Models Direct that has vast experience and an impeccable record in the field of baby modelling.

Our team members at the agency and the production companies our clients employ to oversee photo and film shoots are all highly experienced at working with babies.
If you are interested in finding out more, please take some lovely pictures of your bouncing baby and upload them when you fill in our form.
One of our agents will then call you and you can ask them anything you would like to know more about.
If you decide to continue with the application and we feel your little one is a good fit for us then they will be put forward for any suitable assignments for baby models matching their description.
If they are chosen and you decide to accept the job, your point of contact at Models Direct will give you all the information you need and keep you up to date on any changes.

On the day itself, you will meet a crew who will tell you more about what to expect and show you where you can feed and look after your baby quietly when not required on set.
The aim of the shoot will be to get your baby to smile and laugh when required.
They will therefore be kept calm and given lots of cuddles and smiles – and having some favourite toys to hand could be an advantage.
And be reassured that you will be close by at all times.

Shareen took four-month-old Tyler along to a shoot for Mothercare and said to Models Direct afterwards:
“Tyler and I had a great time modelling for Mothercare, we both really enjoyed it.
“The team up there was really friendly – lots of shots were taken of Tyler and they even got me to do some with him!
“We had a great day out and great fun – they said he was a natural!
“Thank you for representing him.”
