From Everyday Life to On-Set Action: Real Model Journeys

You could be heading out for some grocery shopping, walking the dog or prepping for an exam. Basically, you could be getting on with your everyday life and then suddenly switch to on-set action mode like the superhero you are!

With Models Direct, being booked for a modelling campaign can happen very quickly. We’ve had some of our talent, male and female, young and senior, register with our agency and get snapped up for modelling work in next to no time. They’ve been delightfully surprised with the speed at which it’s happened, and we’ll share some of their real-life modelling journeys with you!

Ishaan (BTYZ-6343) was hired and left us with this lovely review about his experience:

“I got registered with Models Direct about a month ago, and they were very professional. I had my first shoot today, and the team was so genuinely friendly. I look forward to working with them. Thank you for taking me into consideration.”

Slightly over a month after registering, child model Ethan (HZNV-9368) was shortlisted and selected for Sky. His parent spoke about his time on set and how it all went:

“The first day was a rehearsal and photoshoot, it was extremely well organised, and everyone was really lovely and friendly.

Then followed by two half days of filming, and we were welcomed by the film production crew, who were constantly looking after Ethan and I, and he loved every minute of it.

All the other children on set were super friendly, and they played games in the downtime.

Jack (RQCK-8363) was hired by Greene King just after a fortnight of being live on our system. It was super quick and super fun:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first time working with Models Direct. I was given clear details on where the shoot was and what to expect and wear. My account was only live for 2 weeks, and I got my first job! I couldn’t thank them enough.”

Finally, Tapuwa (QFWQ-7634) enjoyed a second campaign with Events105, but this one was with a twist! It was just under a month after his first, which was pretty amazing!

“My second job with Models Direct in 3 weeks! It was a different kind of job and event, but exciting nonetheless. I’m grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to more.”

These first-hand experiences demonstrate how our models have enjoyed a variety of working environments in just under a few weeks of registration with our UK-based modelling agency.  Whether this has been commercial modelling, catalogue modelling or promotional modelling, our talent has seen a diverse range of projects pop up where our models have been introduced to top-tier clients along the way.

Whether it means hiring for seasonal work or the launch of a new product or service, our clients certainly keep it interesting, not just for our models, but for us too! Every on-set experience is different, and we’re proud to be part of bringing modelling to everyone who is interested in a part-time job.

It’s great to see how our models of all ages are being snapped up for modelling assignments across the UK. On the flip side, there are models who have been on our books for some time, too.

Our team does let our models know that it can take time to land a gig, and ultimately, our clients are the decision makers when it comes to the hiring process.

Modelling can be pot luck, but we do advise our models to keep on top of their portfolio game, ensuring that images are regularly  refreshed. Clients will see a collection of the latest version of our models. Not only this, but to stay social and keep connected with our agency so that they are in the know with the latest modelling industry news and what is happening directly here at Models Direct.

We also encourage our models to keep in touch with us. If they haven’t heard anything back in some time, whether that’s a few weeks or maybe months, they are welcome to chat to us about their application. Our job is to keep the profession honest and open for everyone, giving everyone a unique chance and journey into on-set modelling. If you’re up for it or know anyone else who might be, give us a shout!
