Our UK-based modelling agency, Models Direct, focuses on bringing the best services for both our wonderful models and clients. When our diverse models are prepping their chances of being selected by top-tier clients, one pathway which brands and companies head towards is looking through models’ ePortfolios. This gives them an understanding of what our talent has to offer and if they’ll be the right match for them. But, does our agency cater for in-house photography services to build portfolios? Unfortunately, not and we’ll explain why.
In short, we believe that:

Models can take images of themselves without the use of a professional, and potentially expensive, photographer. If you’ve got a baby, child or pet model, a parent, guardian or owner can do the same respectively. Our expert team sets out to advise models on when, where and how they can take the best images to add to their collection.

Pictures including any extra features such as tattoos, piercings and braces. Models can also include a demo of any extra skills they’d like to share such as juggling, dancing or acrobatics.
Images should be taken with good lighting, simple backgrounds and avoiding filters.
Finally, it’s important to ensure that images are an accurate representation of models’ current look for the benefit of clients.
The Models Direct takeaway
In summary, our modelling agency doesn’t take photos for portfolios. We understand how costs can add up and having a professional photographer from our agency would mean an extra burden on our potential models. We like to make things easy and say, you can do it yourself!
